E. M. Kokie's debut novel is PERSONAL EFFECTS (Candlewick Press, September 2012) -- After his older brother dies in Iraq, Matt makes a discovery that rocks his beliefs about strength, bravery, and honor in this page-turning debut.

Emily is available to speak to groups of teens and adults on a wide variety of topics related to creative writing and research, including but not limited to the mechanics of character voice, online research, social media, and world building in realistic fiction. Her Finding The Agent Who Is Right For You workshop has been a big hit with SCBWI audiences.
