Kristine Carlson Asselin

Bio:

Kristine Asselin writes young adult and middle grade fiction.

She has published twelve middle grade nonfiction titles with Capstone Press, including THE SUN (2010), STARS (2010), and ANCIENT EGYPTIAN MYTHS (2012). Three titles are scheduled for early 2013.

Her young adult novel, based on her personal experiences as a teenage girl whose family owns a golf course, is currently on submission. An excerpt from Kristine's work-in-progress novel was published in Golfer Girl Magazine in December 2008.

A picture book, THE WORST CASE OF PASKETTI-ITIS, will be published by 4RV Publishing in 2013.

A member of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators, Kristine enjoys attending workshops to hone her craft and meet other writers, and participating in critique groups. Her favorite authors include LM Montgomery, JK Rowling and Orson Scott Card.

She is the co-director for the New England SCBWI conferences (in Springfield, MA) for 2013 and 2014.
