Charlotte Mielziner

Bio:

Charlotte started out writing radio and tv ad copy just out of college, often producing and announcing as well. Over the years, she has written grants, policy and procedure manuals, newspaper articles, over 200 online articles and edited a national credit management newsletter.

Animals have always played an important part in Charlotte's life. After completing a Bachelor's degree from Maryville University, she gained an advanced certification in canine behavior from Purdue. When not writing, she trains and judges Rally and Obedience for the American Kennel Club and other major dog organizations. Charlotte has brought positive motivation dog training and bite prevention techniques to children for over 17 years.

Charlotte is happy to be the winner of the 2013 SCBWI mentorship with Sue Bradford-Edwards. Her project is a new concept multimedia dog training book for children which gently teaches the lessons of life from the other end of the leash. Publications include Good Dogs Bite Too for St. Louis Visiting Nurses Association and Sammies in the Kitchen for Spirit of St. Louis Samoyed Club.
