Jodi Kendall

Bio:

Over the last ten years, Jodi Kendall has freelanced for both large companies (such as the National Geographic Channel) and small, niche businesses (like Preparis, Heritage Golf Group and Island Resources). Her writing has been published on significant websites including NBC Health, ABC News, Trails, GolfLink, Livestrong, iVillage and The New York Daily News. Her work has also appeared on ON DEMAND television and elevator news tickers in the New York City metro area.

She earned her MFA in Writing from the acclaimed University of Arizona graduate program and BA in English from Florida State University. She has studied writing technique and analysis under award-winning authors such as Li-Young Lee, Jane Miller, Barbara Hamby, David Kirby, Lucy Tapahonso, Boyer Rickel and Bob Houston.

Jodi is also a well-known college essay counselor and has assisted many students in achieving an acceptance letter to the college or university of their choice. Past clients now attend Duke University Medical School, University of Arizona, Vanderbilt University and Georgia State University Law School, to name a few prestigious institutions.

In her spare time, Jodi runs in races across the country, from 5Ks to full marathons. Her love for travel has inspired trips across North America and beyond, including Greece, Scotland, Spain, St. John and Portugal.

Jodi has been an Associate Member of of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrator's (SCBWI) since 2008 and is currently hard at work on an edgy YA novel and a literary middle grade.

Jodi lives in the New York City area with her husband and two dogs. She can be spotted sipping a latte and typing over 100 words-per-minute at eclectic local coffee shops.
