Bio:

Lisa Desimini has written and/or illustrated over thirty books for children. Her book MY HOUSE was one of the NYTimes Ten Best Illustrated Books of the Year. LOVE LETTERS was a Publishers Weekly, BCCB Blue Ribbon and a School Library Journal Best Book of the Year. Her work has also graced the covers of many book jackets, including Barbara Kingsolver's "Animal Dreams", "Walk Two Moons" by Sharon Creech and The Sookie Series by Charlaine Harris.

Lisa is known for exploring new mediums. She has worked in oil paints, photo and paper collage,and sculpture. Sometimes she combines all these techniques on the computer.

Lisa visits schools, universities and libraries to talk about her books and process.
