Bio:

James Foley lives in Perth, Western Australia. He enjoys working in traditional and digital media, and is passionate about picture books, cartoons, comics and graphic novels.

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor of Behavioural Science 2006, Notre Dame University.

AWARDS
2009: Shortlisted in the CYA Conference Competition, picture book category.
2007: 'The Rigger' Award for Outstanding Contribution to WA Cartooning (Australian Cartoonists' Association).

EXPERIENCE
2007-present: cartoon and illustration workshops in schools, libraries, children's hospitals and youth centres.
2007: WA President of the Australian Cartoonists' Association.
2003-present: producing weekly full-colour cover illustrations for WA's 'Quokka' newspaper.
2003-present: freelance illustrations, graphic design and caricatures for private and corporate clients.
2001-2002: studied primary teaching at Curtin University.
