Bio:

Since starting a journal in my single-digit years, writing's been an inseparable part of who I am. I received my BFA degree in Communication Design in 1999 from the University of North Texas. I'll admit that my favorite aspect of the program was the research – the writing.

After working for nearly a decade as an Art Director for print advertising in Chicago, I noticed I wrote my projects as much as I designed them. I made the switch to copywriting in 2007, and now I'm a Senior Copywriter for a digital marketing firm called Critical Mass.

I've always loved young adult novels, so in 2005 I began to study writing for children and teens through a distance-learning course. A story of mine was published in Faces magazine in 2008, and I'm currently revising a futuristic YA thriller called Thirty Decibels.
