Annina Luck Wildermuth

Bio:

I'm a decorative artist, illustrator, and writer working on developing my ideas and characters for picture books, non-fiction and middle-grade. Right now I am especially interested in bringing Byzantine and Medieval history to life for kids.

I earned an AB in Medieval History with honors from Bryn Mawr College and have had a diverse work background since then.

I started painting decoratively and exhibiting my work about fifteen years ago and also began to take writing and illustration workshops through SCBWI. Since then I have been working on picture book projects in classes at the School of Visual Arts, New York where I’ve studied with Monica Wellington and Sergio Ruzzier.

I'm currently working on a coloring book of opera divas, a non-fiction picture book about Anna Komnene and a middle-grade historical fantasy set in 16th century Switzerland.

I'm not traditionally published yet. Here are some projects I have out electronically:

Brand new! Madama Butterfly on Thinglink (www.thinglink.com)

You can print out a coloring page of Cio-Cio San and color her while you listen to her most beautiful aria.

I've created two ebooks for uTales (www.uTales.com):

* Look, Look, Look! written by Jackie Kramer

* Little Sea Horse which I wrote and illustrated. Both have animation as well!

Now Flying Books, an e-book developer and publisher, has translated Look, Look, Look! into
Spanish and French. (www.flyingbooks.me)
