Bio:

Catherine Austen was raised in Kingston, Ontario. She studied political science at Queen's University and environmental studies at York before moving to the Ottawa area to work in the conservation movement. Catherine now lives in Aylmer, Quebec, with her husband and two children. She is the award-winning author of one teen novel, All Good Children (Orca Book Publishers), one picture book, My Cat Isis, illustrated by Virginie Egger (Kids Can Press), and two middle-grade novels, Walking Backward (Orca) and 26 Tips for Surviving Grade 6 (James Lorimer & Company).
