Bio:

I am an illustrator working out of central Texas and have been creating art since childhood. I first began showing my work in High School and won the prestigious Congressional Art Award where my art was then shown in the Capitol Building in Washington D.C. In college I produced adds for local businesses and designed dolls for the photographer Lisa Jane. Currently, I am pursuing a career in children's book illustration and have my first title being published by Pelican Publishing that is due out in 2011. My focus is mainly on stories that lend themselves to fairy tale imagery or historical art. When not working as a high school art teacher or on a latest art project, I work on historic costuming for 19th century reenacting and spend time raising exotic chickens.
