Bio:

Jeannie E. Roberts (Jeanne) writes poetry for children and adults alike. In 2013, her first collection of poetry, Nature of it All, was released by Finishing Line Press (www.finishinglinepress.com). Jeannie's poetry has appeared in Cross Country Skier magazine, the University of Wisconsin Barron County's Red Cedar Literary Journal, Verse Wisconsin, Wisconsin Fellowship of Poets' Museletter, Wisconsin Poets' Calendar, Misty Mountain Review and elsewhere, including the mixed-media show The Vision and the Word. Her public readings include Weidner Center for the Performing Arts, Wisconsin Public Radio, The State Theatre's Janet Carson Gallery and other venues.

A lifelong visual artist, Jeannie is also the author and illustrator of Let's Make Faces!, a children's book (www.RhymeTheRoostBooks.com). She has exhibited her drawings and paintings throughout the Midwest and in Mexico City, and her artwork hangs in corporate and home settings.

Jeannie holds a bachelor of science degree in secondary education and a master of arts degree in arts and cultural management. She is a member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators and the Wisconsin Fellowship of Poets (www.wfop.org). Born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Jeannie now lives in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin.
