Bio:

Stories come when I take the time to live life slowly and pay attention to what comes next.I am a published author of twelve picture books and junior fiction novels. Animals and the natural environment have always been an important part of my life and for many years we lived on small properties in the hills behind Perth and I had my own horse riding school. I began writing seriously after the death of a beautiful welsh mountain pony called Chiko ridden by my daughter Hermine.
Since 2005 l am discovering the joy of being both writer and illustrator, working in tissue paper collage and encaustic wax.My latest title Heipparallaa started in a farm yard in Ireland where I met a young Finnish girl called Elina Jarvinen.
