Bio:
I am a native Michigan artist and author. A Grandma in hiking gear, inspired by nature and story since childhood. I blend natural history with story in my mixed-media paintings and writing to celebrate the earth and our role in nature. I continue to "wander the wild" to learn, seek out and tell stories hidden in nature. The focus of my art and writing is to instill stewardship and connection to the land, animals, and each other, while having a hiking good time.
Selected as the 2008 Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Park Artist-in-Residence and the 2007 Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore Artist-in-Residence, I have told their stories in watercolor and word. My painting: “Sleeping Bear: The Legend” hangs in the Philip A. Hart Visitor Center in Empire, MI.
