Rachel A. Dillon

Bio:

I was born and raised in Madison, Wisconsin. I attended the University of Wisconsin, Madison and graduated in 1994 with a Bachelor of Science in Art, emphasizing in Graphic Design. Outside of art, I have a special interest in evolution and extinction and took several classes in paleontology and geology. My passion for animals grew as I learned more about endangered species and made the decision to figure out a way to help their situation.

I have traveled to schools, camps, museums and libraries in Northern California and Arizona to read my book to children. I follow up with activities to complement my message of conservation and education of endangered species.

Currently, I am working on three children's book projects. My next endangered picture book, "Through Desert Eyes," is scheduled of release in the fall of 2012.

I am a Signature Member of Artists for Conservation, since 2009
