Kirk Parrish

Bio:

My name is Kirk but it seems people enjoy calling me by my middle name, Norman or just simply, Captain. I suppose either one fits just fine. I'm a 29 year old illustrator from Seattle, WA.

In my brief career, I've illustrated five books for children - Including: "Varuna Takes a Job with the Census, An Attack on the Starship Mayflower in the Year 2647" (Benchmark Education) "King Midas and the Golden Touch: A Greek Myth (Newmark Learning) "Neptune and Minerva: A Roman Myth" (Newmark Learning) "The Camel's Shadow" (Farfaria) and most recently "The Pepperoni Palm Tree" (Fuze Publishing). Kirkus Review recently gave "The Pepperoni Palm Tree" some high praise:

"The whole thing has a touch of Seuss about it."

Well, I'm just getting started in what I hope will be a very long and fruitful career in the children's illustration market. Telling stories through my art is a real passion of mine, one that I share with everybody else involved with SCBWI.

For any art inquires, I can be reached at: Kparrish33@gmail.com
