Bio:

Mimi Cross was born in Toronto, Canada and received a BM from Ithaca College and an MA from New York University. She has been a performer, a music educator, and a yoga instructor, and worked briefly in the music industry. She has written good songs, bad poems, and is currently seeking representation for her YA novels. She lives with her husband and young son in Atlantic Highlands, New Jersey, about a half hour from Asbury Park, her musical home. She lives surrounded by water and can see the oldest operating lighthouse in the United States from her window. She loves the fact that she can walk to a ferry that will get her to NYC in under and hour.

Over the course of her musical career Mimi has shared the bill with artists such as Bruce Springsteen, Jon Bon Jovi, Sting, Bonnie Raitt, Jackson Browne, Lauryn Hill, Chris Whitley, Jill Sobule, Mae Moore, Loudon Wainwright III, Nicole Atkins, and Peter Himmelman.

The Crankamacallit, Mimi's interactive children's iPad app, was released on iTunes in May of 2011.
