Rana has written her way through life—as a student, a lawyer, an investment banker, a private equity investor, and now as an author and publisher of award-winning children's media. Her first book, What Does It Mean To Be Global?, was released in October 2009 and has won six awards, including: (1) The National Best Books 2009 Award; (2) 2010 Silver Nautilus Award; (3) 2010 Next Generation Indie Book Award; (4) Silver 2010 Benjamin Franklin; (5) Gold Mom's Choice Award; and (6) Learning Magazine 2011 Teachers' Choice Award for Children's Books. Her second book, What Does It Mean To Be Green?, was released in March 2010 and won a Gold Mom's Choice Award. Her third book, What Does It Mean To Be Present?, was released in July 2010 and won a Moonbeam Award as well as a Gold Mom's Choice Award.
