Bio:

I've been publishing for children since 1980, when my first book, MY MINNIE IS A JEWEL, came out with Carolrhoda. I've got over a dozen works of fiction for young readers, from picture books to young adult novels, and two non-fiction books, and have had the privilege of working with amazing editors including Melanie Kroupa, Wendy Lamb, and Donna Bray. Over the years I've had extensive experience as a writer in residence in the schools. Currently, my day job is in the children's room of the Shaker Heights Public Library. I live here in Cleveland with my husband and have three adult daughters. I'm the recipient of an Ohio Arts Council award, as well as several awards for my adult fiction.
