Bio:
I have been a teacher for going on thirty years this June. I have taught art for middle school kids, but mostly elementary school grades 2-6. I prefer 5th, but second was great when there were just twenty kids. I am retiring at the end of this school year. Woo Hoo! Now I can focus on doing the things I really like, which are painting, drawing, stained glass, and writing.
I grew up in Vacaville, California. I went to college at CSU Sacramento. They didn't want me to get very far. I married after college and went to live in Stockton, Ca. After a few years we decided to move some place near the ocean. Crescent City CA seemed to be a place that was both near the ocean and affordable, so we moved when one of us got a job. That was me. Crescent City was a great place to raise two boys. They loved the forest next to the house, as well as being able to drive down to the beach to roast hotdogs for dinner. It did prove to be a bit too far for visiting family, so we moved back to Vacaville in 1997 to stay.
