Bio:

I write picture books, chapter books, magazine stories, and middle grade novels. By day, I'm a teacher for students with special needs. I live in a house filled with books, along with my husband (a library director), my three young adult kids (all readers), and a big, black cat who likes to take naps on papers and manuscripts left lying about.
