Bio:

Born in Indonesia of French parents, Sophie Masson was sent to France to live with her grandmother when she was just a baby. At the age of 4, she came with her parents and two of her sisters to Australia. She spent most of her childhood shuttling between Australia and France, and went to school in both countries. Her first two novels--The House in the Rainforest(adult novel) and Fire in the Sky(children's novel) werepublished in the same year, 1990. Since then, Sophie has published more than 50 novels, mainly for children and teenagers, but a few for adults as well. She is published in Australia, the UK, US, France, Germany, Italy, Poland, Thailand and other countries. She has written in different genres, from fantasy to mystery, graphic novels to family stories, short stories, essays and articles as well.
