Bio:
I have written a 60,000-word young adult novel set in rural America entitled Journey to Loon Lake. It is the first book in a series set in fictional West Farmington, Wisconsin. This novel portrays the struggles of a fifteen-year-old boy, led into drugs by his best friend, to redeem himself from the tragedy he caused while high, and to heal his relationship with his father.
I have published memoirs in The Prairie Light Review, the literary journal of College of DuPage in Illinois where I studied writing, and pieces in the DuPage Writers Group literary journal, Possibilities. I am a founding member, director, and editor of the DuPage Writers Group. I attended workshops in Lakeside, Michigan, at the Iowa Summer Writing Festival, and at the University of Chicago. I wrote a book-length memoir and am working on the sequel to Journey and on Indelible Memories, a collection of short memoirs.
