Bio:

Jan is a writer living in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Dead Frog on the Porch is her debut novel for young readers. Dead Bird through the Cat Door is the second in the Megabyte Mystery series. Growing up she was a voracious reader of Nancy Drew mysteries and enjoyed visiting the library where she would stretch her library card to the limit.

Jan previously worked as a print and broadcast journalist. She writes creative non-fiction and has had personal essays published in the Globe and Mail and WestWord. She has Masters degree in Cultural Anthropology and has travelled extensively around the world. Jan is writing the third in the series Dead Bee in the Sarcophagus.
