Bio:

I have come back to my first love....cartooning/illustrating and writing children's stories. A former fashion editor and stylist, I began moonlighting as an illustrator while an editor at REDBOOK magazine. I was published in many national magazines including SEVENTEEN, PARENTS, and REDBOOK. My first color illustration was for President Carter's daughter-in-law for an article she wrote about public speaking. Accompanied by two secret service men in trench coats, it was very exciting to meet her all those years ago!
I reside in East Hampton and White Plains and commute back and forth frequently. I am a real estate broker in the Hamptons with Town & Country Real Estate and enjoy work as as an actor in commercials and silver haired model in print ads and editorials through FORD MODELS. Although I travel frequently for work, I find my hidden passion is for writing and drawing...it always has been!
I am the mother of a wonderful son whose name is Walker and for whom my children's book story was first told to when he was just a young boy. Walker is now in college. It was my son who inspired me to set the story in writing and draw the pictures so I must sincerely thank Walker for his continued encouragement and patience as he listened attentively each evening as my story unfolded for him. I am pleased to say my son has been gifted with a natural ability to illustrate himself! I am married to Paul, the most wonderful man in the world. We live with three companions: a Bearded Collie named Maizie Marbles who is certified as a pet therapy dog through TDI, Mr. Baxter, an Abysennian cat, and Mr. Milo, a gray rabbit who enjoys the company of us all, courtesy of my son!
I believe in creating fun and silliness and I let my furtive imagination take me away to wherever it wishes...if you want to know where that is, I will be happy to write it down and tell you the story! I love my family and friends and most value the time I can spend with each of them. Paul and I escape as often as we can to scuba dive ...I look forward to meeting you...the talented and creative thinkers and illustrators...here in this forum! Having had many careers along the way, I am excited about taking this step toward realizing a past dream...out with the colors and typewriter!
