Throughout my life, art and the creative process have made a considerable impact upon the person I am today. Observing and recording the outside world through art has allowed me to form opinions, make discoveries and gather feelings and views. My chief motivation for art making lies within myself. I make art because it has become my time to just simply perceive and ponder the visual world around me. Additionally I am motivated by the communicability of art as a universal language. The role of art has been consistent for many centuries; to facilitate the exchange of ideas between the artist and the viewer. In the most influential interactions, the art will affect the viewer. It will leave a kind of impact, a curiosity or a sense of wonder. It will invoke thought. I strive to achieve this sense of feeling through my art making.
I received my BFA from New York University. I now live and work in New York City.
