Born in Bombay, India (now Mumbai), and later moving to New York City, Minnie Romanovich was inspired early on by the work of Walt Disney and the fairy tale art of Arthur Rackham. She earned a degree in Fine Arts from Sir J. J. School of Arts, the oldest art institution in Mumbai. She majored in Illustration and Art History and started working at an advertising agency as a Copywriter, and later as an Illustrator. She quit her job in 2001 and opted to become a full time illustrator, gaining the attention of public and private audiences requesting commissioned pieces. Her passion for artistic expression also led her to develop a keen interest in photography, thus expanding her creative horizon.
In addition to commissioned pieces, Minnie’s art and photography has been featured in various national and international publications, from editorial photo spreads to children’s magazine illustrations.
In her spare time she loves to read, write, sample international cuisines, and travel.
