Bio:

Until recently, Wendy Meddour was an English Fellow at Oxford University.

She is publishing her first middle-grade series with Frances Lincoln - due out in 2012. Entitled Cinnamon Grove, Book I: A Hen in the Wardrobe centres on the wacky adventures of Ramzi Ramadan and his sleepwalking Dad. Book II: Chess and Chapattis is planned to follow.

Though not yet published, A Hen in the Wardrobe has won the John C Laurence Award (for writing that improves relations between the races) and first place in the Islamic Foundation's International Writing Competition.

Wendy Meddour is also publishing some picture books with Macmillan.
