Bio:

Throughout my career as a librarian I always wrote for the profession, and continue to be a reviewer and to submit articles to professional journals. After I "took my pension" from libraries, I started writing specifically for children.

I grew up in a military family and moved a lot. Once I married, finished graduate school, and moved to Texas, I pretty much stayed put. My husband, Jim, is an architect and often draws pictures for my projects. That's life married to a children's librarian and writer!

I'm very active in the Austin Chapter of SCBWI and am a member of the Texas Sweethearts and Scoundrels.
