Bio:

Melizza "Liz" Chernov is a graduate of Rhode Island School of Design. Liz's portfolio and academic achievement earned her a full scholarship.

After leaving RISD, Liz taught art in inner city outreach programs all over the country, from the "Hunter's Point Mural Program" in San Francisco where students learned about environmental changes through art, to the "Arts Learning in Schools" program in New Mexico where artists teamed up with certified teachers to promote arts education.

Most recently, Liz has worked as a freelancer for Jones & Bartlett Publishing, Education Executive Magazine, Inside Healthcare Magazine and has been doing commissioned fantasy art portraiture.

Liz Chernov lives in a New England coastal town with her husband Craig, where the beach, the woods and her dog, Crowley Bean Chernov, are a constant source of inspiration for her work.
