Bio:
Thanks to a science fiction-loving father and a madrigal-singing mother, Sarah Avalon has been attending Renaissance Festivals and SciFi Conventions since the age of eight. At age nine, she read the Lord of the Rings trilogy and fell madly and irrevocably in love with Frodo. At twelve, she joined the first of several medieval re-creation organizations. One in which, a few years later, she found a true knight in shining armor and a real-world love that has remained strong for over two decades. With her early start in theatre and a love of dance, Sarah spent her school years studying both. She holds a MFA in Choreography, a MA in Dance History and a BS in Exercise Science. Sarah’s love of all things fantasy has held true through the years. Upon taking ownership of a dance studio in 2008, she wrote a re-imagined version of “Saint George and the Dragon” for a holiday performance. Then and there, she fell madly in love with writing and vowed to never stop. She writes and illustrates children's book fairytales.
