Mary Patterson Thornburg

Bio:

Born in California, grew up in eastern Washington, lived for many years in Indiana, but my full-time residence now is where I've lived off and on all my life, my parents' home state of Montana.

As a university English teacher and a secretary, of course I've always been a professional writer--just not always for publication. But I've published essays and poetry for years and finally started writing fiction. I have short-story publications in FANTASY & SCIENCE FICTION, ZAHIR, and in two on-line magazines, MIDNIGHT TIMES and STRANGE, WEIRD, AND WONDERFUL. My YA story "Guile" appeared in CICADA in 2007, and another, "Niam's Tale," will be in CICADA's July/August 2010 edition. My first novel, UNDERLAND, for readers 10 and up, self-published with AuthorHouse in 2005, was reviewed by Charles De Lint in F&SF, April 2007.
