Bio:

Since I was a child I have enjoyed drawing and writing. In 1997 I developed several children stories while being an at home mom. I visited the Okinawa Chapter of SCBWI for critique and support and did improve and develop as a writer through their support. As a member at that time of SCBWI I did try to get published and queried many publishers. After 20 attempts I just put the stories aside for a while. In 1998 I went back to work and the stories in turn remained on floppy disk and in storage.

A year and 1/2 ago I pulled the old stories out of the garage, purchased a floppy drive and started working on them again. I finished the story, "The Ti'ar: The Prophesy of the Mighty Warrior." Last week it was released for the first time through my current publisher, Strategic Book Group. I am very thrilled, excited, and preparing local book signings.

I've been married for 22 years to Brian Bicek and we have two children. Sean is 17 years old and Zoe is 10. I have a very supporting family and am so happy to be able to share my dream of being published with them. Also, for 25 years I've been an Electronics Technician and started my career in the USAF. I love my current career with the USDA Forest Service and really can't believe that I get the opportunity to work on top of the mountains at repeater sites and around such wonderful people. Life is good!
