Bio:
Born and raised in New Jersey, Jennifer did what every good Jersey girl does, and headed into Manhattan for college. She began a career in finance as a research analyst after graduating with a Business and Economics degree. One day in the middle of writing out a contingent deferred sales charge something snapped. Unable to write even one more fee schedule, she instead wrote a little story about a pig that could not stop cleaning.
She was awarded a scholarship to attend The Chautauqua Children’s Writing Workshop and “The Cleanest Pig” was published in Highlights for Children Magazine in 2006. Later, it was picked up by the Oregon Department of Education in 2009.
The following spring she was the winner of the 2007 Highlights for Children Fiction contest for “The Mysterious Egg.” And in May of 2008, she was awarded the Editor’s Choice Author of the Month by the editors of Highlights for Children. Her latest story, “The Ring,” is due out in Highlights in 2011.
Married to a really cute seventh-grade history teacher, she lives in a huge house in Boston with an upright bassist, a Japanese chef, a basketball-playing soccer player, a student of Latin, a pessimistic Brazilian, and a kid named Bruce.
