Bio:

Juliet Marillier was born in New Zealand and now lives in Western Australia. She has always loved mythology, folklore and fairy tale, and this is a major influence on her storytelling. She writes for both adults and young adults. Juliet's novels are published internationally and have won a number of awards, including the American Library Association's Alex Award, the Prix Imaginales, the Aurealis Award (three times) and the Sir Julius Vogel Award. Her first two novels for young adults, Wildwood Dancing and Cybele's Secret, were critically acclaimed. She's currently working on a new YA series. The first book, Shadowfell, was published by Pan Macmillan Australia in July 2012 and by Knopf USA in September 2012. The second book is Raven Flight, due for publication in mid-2013.
