Bio:

Marissa lives in Tacoma, Washington, with her fiancé and their two cats. Her debut novel, Cinder, a futuristic re-envisioning of Cinderella in which Cinder is a cyborg mechanic, is scheduled to be released in Spring 2012 from Macmillan's Feiwel & Friends imprint. Marissa holds a Bachelor's degree in Creative Writing from Pacific Lutheran University and a Master's degree in Publishing from Pace University. When not reading or writing, she enjoys road-tripping, wine-tasting, and hunting for priceless antiquities at vintage shops. She loves going to sci-fi & fantasy conventions and will take any excuse to put on a costume (past favorites include Princess Zelda and the Queen of Hearts; she thinks a Cinderella costume is probably overdue). She is represented by Jill Grinberg.
