Bio:
After teaching writing for fifteen years, one of my students told me I was "not reaching my potential" and I needed to write. Hearing what she said, I took a year away from teaching, wrote my first novel, and am loving the life of a Writer. Attending my first SCBWI retreat transformed me and validated the path I've taken. I returned home to replace the teaching materials that lined my bookshelves with the writings I've stowed away over the years.
Living the life of a minimalist who strives to "leave no trace," my work aims to bring awareness to the impact humans make upon the Earth and inspire readers to alter the course. I hope to create literature that exists in the minds and hearts of my readers, but also impacts their relationship with the land with which we live.
