Bio:

Misty Fast was born in a clean white room in Oregon, the perfect canvas for a writer, illustrator and artist. Writing and art were passions she developed in youth classes and later on in University courses. Following in family footsteps she also pursued science and received a Bachelors degree in Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology and Biochemistry. However her heart was in the arts, so she also received a minor in Theater and continued to pursue art and writing. She was first published as a poet in 1996. In 2009, Misty relocated from her long time home of Boulder, CO to Switzerland. Misty applies her writing and illustrating to her children theater company, The Young Theatre Company, founded in Basel, Switzerland. As an illustrator and writer she consulted with U.S. author Jonathan Freedman on illustrations for his middle-grade fiction book, Stanley Scuka Bounces A Bean published by Bounce The World Press in Basel, Switzerland. Misty is currently working on writing and illustrating an early reader children’s book series.
