Bio:

Trained in both visual art and creative writing, Betty creates new worlds with words and images. She has written and illustrated a number of picture books: Wayne Boris Carlo was published in 2011, and was translated into Swedish in 2012; and RED was published in 2012. Betty has written and designed numerous children’s theatre productions, having been commissioned by The Arts Centre Melbourne, the Queensland Arts Council and The Australian Children's Theatre Foundation. Betty has studied Creative Writing and Visual Art at a postgraduate level at RMIT and Deakin Universities (Melbourne, Australia). She was born in Melbourne where she currently lives and works. Betty is currently being funded to write, illustrate and animate a digital, interactive picture book.
