Bio:

M-E Girard is a registered nurse moonlighting as a writer of LGBTQ young adult fiction--more specifically, she writes stories about contemporary queer teen girls. She has completed her first Young Adult novel (a finalist in the 2010 Young Adult Novel Discovery Contest) and is working on her second, third, and fourth one. Sometimes she'll dish out a short story, some of which were published in a Canadian anthology. M-E is a member of the Writers' Community of Durham Region and has joined its Board of Directors. She also manages their website "Reading As Writers," a blog and resource site for its members. M-E blogs in a variety of places, but mainly on her personal blog, and on the Reading As Writers website. She lives not too far outside of Toronto, Ontario, Canada, with her partner Melissa and their two Chihuahua babies.
