Bio:

I've been a writer for as long as I can remember, but I really only started writing fiction, and Young Adult fiction in particular, for the last few years. I received my BA in English from Salisbury University and an MFA in Poetry from West Virginia University. I've been lucky enough to study under many amazing poets, including Michael Waters, Stephen Dobyns, Shara McCallum, Dean Young, James Harms, Terrance Hayes, Mary Ann Samyn, and Stephen Dunn.

Now, I make my living as a high school English teacher. I live in Jefferson MD with my husband and son. My agent is Hannah Brown Gordon from Foundry Literary (whom I adore and who rocks!) My first YA novel, TASTE TEST, is forthcoming from Walker Books for Young Readers.
