Bio:

My writing career began as a journalist on 'The West Australian' newspaper. I turned from fact to fiction when my children were young, and moved from adult short stories to writing for children. Among my 30-something titles are 'Dear Mr Sprouts,' a WA Premier's Award winner, and 'Away with the Birds,' a CBCA Honour Book. Five other titles have been CBCA Notable Books.
My most recent title is a picture book, 'Song of the Dove,' Walker Books, illustrated by Archibald finalist Sonia Kretschmar, listed in the 4th CJ Picture Book Awards for the top 100 international titles.
