Bio:

I read, and I write for kids aged 8 to 12yrs. I'm a mum to four tall and talented people and I'm a wife of one. I've been a teacher and right now I do community work that supports families with children under 5yrs old.
I always wanted to be able to write stories but didn't think I had an imagination... until at 40, I started.
This is my journey so far: picture books about my five year old daughter and her older brothers and sisters, an online writing site from the BBC, an evening class, a magazine article sold to a campervan mag for £150, Nanowrimo, a practice all over the place novel, more online writing, short stories, an MA, a competition win with The Greenhouse Literary Agency (no sign up yet tho) and an encouraging report from Cornerstones for the story I'm touting now.
My five year old daughter is sixteen on Easter Monday 2011.
