Bio:

A native Texan, I moved to New York in the summer of 2006 to pursue my MFA in creative writing at Sarah Lawrence College. From there, I did a stint for a few years as an editorial assistant, until I found myself working as a copywriter for Weill Cornell Medical College in Manhattan.

I currently have several projects going on: penning a kickstarter-funded collection of children's poems and working with artist Paul Tunis to illustrate them, touching up the final draft of an urban fantasy novel concerning hellhound roadkill as well as a middle grade novel about a boy with a balloon for a head. I am also finishing "Periwinkle," which was awarded the runner-up prize for SCBWI's Contemporary Novel Work-in-Progress grant.
