Bio:

Elena holds a Master's degree in Comparative Literature from the University of Connecticut. She volunteers as a literary specialist for a non-profit organization in Manchester, CT called Building Healthy Families, Inc.

She is currently at work on her first Young Adult novel.

Some of her very favorite YA writers are Madeleine L'Engle, Bette Greene, S.E. Hinton, Phyllis Reynolds Naylor, Norma Fox Mazer, Michelle Magorian, Judy Blume, Robert Cormier, Cynthia Voigt, Sara Zarr, Sarah Dessen, Jenny Han, and Simone Elkeles.
