Terry McDonagh is a much travelled and vastly experienced poet and dramatist from Ireland. He lives in Hamburg.
He has published poetry for children - Boxes. Also a short novel for children - One Summer in Ireland.
In addition, he has published five adult poetry collections, letters and drama. His latest poetry collection for adults, The Truth in Mustard (Arlen House), is distributed internationally by Syracuse University Press, NY.
His work has been translated into German and Indonesian.
As creative writing facilitator/ workshop leader/ reader of his work he has worked in many countries in Europe, Australia, and several countries in Asia.
He has given workshops for teachers:
-at European Council of International School conferences in Nice, Berlin and Hamburg
- At Association of German International School conferences in Hannover
- In Education Centres in Ireland: Castlebar and Sligo
- For Poetry Ireland in Dublin
- He reads at numerous festivals including Baboro, in Ireland.
He has organised and facilitated book-weeks, workshops, done readings in International schools worldwide.
He is just completing a new collection of poetry for children: ECHOLOCATION.
