Bio:

I grew up in a world full of adventure - from the books I read, the farms I lived on to the beaches where I spent most of my childhood. Making up stories was a favourite family past-time – based on our real life adventures and worlds found via our imaginations.

I was brought up in the 80’s when everyone was encouraged to stay in touch with their inner-child. I have remained in touch with my inner-child and use this to help me with my writing. I continue to thoroughly enjoy spending time with children and seeing the world through their eyes.

I began writing full-time at the beginning of 2011. I love the world of Children’s literature and all that it entails including imaginary worlds, quirky characters, great books, amazing people and working with/for children.

Many accomplished Children’s Book Writers are also gifted illustrators. I feel obliged to admit that I am to illustrating what a barbeque skewer is to a blow-up castle at a school fete, so I look forward to working with those who are far more capable than I am.
