Bio:

I have a minor in English Literature from William Carey College in Hattiesburg, MS, a Master of Fine Arts in Theatrical Design from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, AR, and am a certified decorative painter from IPEDEC, Universite’ Europe’enne des Me’tiers de la Finition, on the south side of Paris, France. I have worked professionally as a painter in the Bay Area for the past 9 years. The inspiration of motherhood leads me to pursue what feels like the natural next step to my career as an artist. I now look forward to exploring the world of writer/illustrator.
At this point, my repertoire includes 4 sketchy picture books in post-it form transcribed from the slivers of paper shoved in my sketch book. They exist on the wall in front of my new/old writing desk which I bought from a local church sale for $20. I think I'm ready to go.
