Beth Neff

Bio:

I am a former organic vegetable farmer and community activist in the field of sustainability who recently ‘retired’ to write full time. Thirty years ago, I graduated with degrees in journalism and anthropology from the University of Michigan, envisioning myself as a freelance magazine writer and author. Like so many women, the pursuit of creative self-expression took a bit of a turn over the years and after a satisfying career and the raising of four wonderful children, I am now pleased and excited to direct my attention to literature. My first novel, Getting Somewhere, the young adult story of four very different girls who find themselves facing the immense challenges of an alternative juvenile detention program, was released on January 19, 2012 by Viking/Penguin.
