Bio:
Natalie is happiest when she has a beautiful blank piece of freshly stretched paper, with an idea in her head and pencil in her hand... with her inks and watercolours waiting to pounce! Other things that make Natalie happy are; her whole family being in one place at the same time, her wonderful new husband, happy chickens and their fluffy bottoms, real vanilla ice cream with honey on, movie montages and sitting in the sun, or the snow, or the rain, with friends.
Natalie studied Higher Education Art in Egham, Kingston and Birmingham, graduating from Birmingham Institute of Art and Design with a BA Honors in Visual Communication specialising in Illustration. With dreams in her pocket and mud on her boots she set out to Brighton on a quest to follow in her Granddad's footsteps and become a Professional Artist. Here she discovered the art of counting beads in a warehouse to pay the rent whilst drawing and painting in in her free time. Finally she broke into the public art realm with a mural of an enchanted bookshelf in Hove Children's Library. This was shortly followed by a commission for her and her partner to build a sunken galleon in the playground of a primary school in Hollingdean.
After a frosty winter of galleon building her partner asked her to return the to West Midlands with him. Natalie followed her heart home again and now lives in the Black Country where she works as a Public / Mural Artist and Illustrator freeing the characters and stories from her head onto paper, walls, school fences, library ceilings and generally anything that stays still too long... and she is very happy.
