Bio:
Robin A. Burrows is a writer and poet from Arkansas. She recently published a poetry book entitled, "Of Hearts and Souls". She also writes fantasy, science fiction, speculative fiction, and children's stories.
Robin knew she wanted to be a writer when she was in the third grade. Her class had to write a story using their spelling words and she discovered that she could create stories like the ones she loved to read. Through her stories, other children could experience worlds filled with all the wonders of possibility.
In high school, Robin began writing novella-length short stories about a sailor, his family and their fantastic adventures. She also discovered poetry in high school and realized that a poem could tell a story – just like her other writing.
Robin set aside her creative writing during college to write literary essays for her classes. She graduated with a major in English and a minor in History. During this time, she also formulated ideas for several new stories including: Landrina, Nokar and Vampiress Lessa.
Robin currently works for a national nonprofit organization. She writes in her free time on evenings and weekends. She has won over 20 awards at area writers’ conferences for both her poetry and prose. She is currently working on her first novel, a young adult fantasy, tentatively entitled, Kaylee Nevins and the Dragon Ring. She is also collaborating with artist, Tim Robbins, on several children’s picture books.
